Community

Building community is a foundational part of who we are as Co Create and how we can sustainably work in the city to reduce social isolation and support people in recovery.

Community Thursdays

Every Thursday, we have Community Thursdays. Our workshop is open as a drop-in space where you are invited to come and be creative, learn new skills, share your own skills and meet new people. Beyond our courses this initiative aims to further community engagement and aid wellbeing for the individuals who come. There will be various table top creative activities happening in our studio space, as well as the opportunity to make some of our products for Co Create Shop in the upstairs workshop.

Using our hands.

Building community.

Growing in confidence.

We also un Community Engagement Days. These are opportunities for people to come and make something together. Through this we all learn new skills and build relationships with people in our local area.

Picnic benches. Bug houses. Planters. These have been days full of new faces and old; days of learning and of being creative.

If you would like to see us run a Community Engagement day in your part of the city, we’d love to hear from you!
